After the Half
The race has been run.Watch the video
I am thrilled to announce that yesterday I completed my Half Marathon in 2:22:21. Thanks to the generosity of so many of you – we can all take pride in making a difference.
Here is what many of you do not know. Due to the government shutdown the national park in Sandy Hook, NJ was closed. Therefore my race was cancelled. When reality set in on Thursday evening, I began scrambling around searching for another half marathon. Luckily, a friend of mine who lives in Manhattan registered me into a half marathon race that was being held in Central Park. The day of the event was energizing and exciting. This same friend Eric and I are creating a video to capture the spirit of the true reason behind the training and the run itself. We will get that video out to all of you once it is done.
In the meantime, there are a number of you who have emailed me “Is it too late?” I am happy to tell you that it is not too late to send in a donation. I am collecting donations up to October 29th, which is the one year anniversary of the storm.
